Foods that we can’t add to the Nutrition Program

Over the years I’ve had some odd requests for things to be added to the nutritional database on the Nutrition Program.

Perhaps the person that wanted rat poison has a special diet in mind for someone this year?

Is it a harassed teacher that wants paracetamol included?

Some things we can’t find like dragon fruit.

But many foods are misspelled – bred, paystry, flower, soogar, sereal, toad in the whole – we try our best to keep things up to date.

And there are some rude words too – some in patois! Guess it’s what teenagers do when they are bored – I sometimes google the words just in case they are foods, and get some interesting definitions – one is a Jamaican bottom wiper!

We’ve added a spellcheck to the Nutrition Program so people can find food even though they don’t know how to spell it – just like Sainsburys.
