Two updates for nutrition data are planned and we will adapt our Nutrition Program as soon as it is ready.
Phase 1 is underway and will concentrate on updating the existing analytical data completed since publication of the 6th summary edition of McCance and Widdowson’s The Composition of Foods and evaluated data from other sources such as manufacturers’ information. The update will be published by the end of 2012.
Phase 2 should be completed by Spring 2014, which will include incorporating all new analytical data from the current programme of nutrient analysis, not already included during phase 1.
